modeano is the moniker for the motion graphics and animation work of artist and photographer Mike Chick.

His first independent commissions were in film and video, with directing credits in TV documentary, music promo and commercial work. The short film "Bike Story" was shown at the Cycling Film festival 2013 in New York and London. At the same time he was also doing stills photography for editorial and commercial clients in London and overseas. 

Then, during a prolonged stay in Berlin he worked exclusively with photography, creating projects for books, exhibitions, and art fairs. Now re-located to Brighton, he is working again with moving images, in the form of animations using vector and hand drawn graphics, collage, and 3D.
