modeano is the motion graphics moniker for lens-based artist Mike Chick.

My first independent commissions were in film and video, with directing credits in TV documentary, music promo and commercial work for clients including Channel 4 Television, EMI, and Koch Media. The short film "Bike Story" was shown at the Cycling Film festival 2013 in New York and London. I was also doing editorial and commercial stills commissions in London and overseas. 

Then, during a prolonged stay in Berlin I worked exclusively with photography, creating projects for exhibition, book publication ,and art fairs. Now re-located to Brighton, I am working with motion graphics and moving images, in the form of animations using vector and hand drawn graphics, collage, and 3D.
